About the artist

Founder Haley Rischar fell in love with jewelry making while attending Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. She encountered the art form at a local bead and craft store called Beads & Things, owned by two eclectic individuals who travel the world in search of unique beads and charms (check them out; they’re great). Years later, she revisited jewelry making—a hobby that quickly became a business idea. Her career as a writer/editor covering sustainability and environmental services inspired her to embrace the concept of beneficial reuse with her jewelry, leading to the idea for RELIK Jewelry Co.

The brand was later founded in March 2024.

Each of RELIK’s collections features high-quality stones, unique beads, vintage materials, freshwater pearls and gold plated/gold filled and sterling silver metals. The brand aims to reimagine lost styles or materials, often bringing new life to vintage and antique pieces.

Jewelry that tells a story

When I think back to my first introduction to jewelry, I think of a few things: my paternal grandmother’s clover necklace—her token of luck she wore daily; a pair of earrings found tucked deep within my mom’s jewelry box, which would soon become my favorite; and my maternal grandmother’s infamous jewelry collection, ranging from colorful costume jewelry to sparking crystals.

For me, my jewelry—and those of the women before me—has served as a chest of memories, each piece with a unique story and origin. With RELIK, I hope to revisit some of these stories, as well as create new ones.

I aim to reimagine components of vintage jewels and beads, as well as craft new, one-of-a-kind pieces using natural, high-quality materials. Each piece is carefully crafted by hand and designed to last the test of time—hopefully, to become a relic of its own one day.

I hope you join me on this journey of discovery as I create an ethical, sustainable and meaningful jewelry brand.
